• Law and Paralegal
  • Law is literally the set of rules established in the Constitution and other pertinent legal documents that is used as the basis to uphold justice and civility in our society. Legal studies cover the intricacies of the Law and its applications in the real world. Studying law requires a person to have good comprehension, acute analytical skills and excellent communication skills.

There are different branches and sub-branches of Law, mainly Criminal Law, Corporate Law and Civil Law. Individual practitioners usually choose an area of specialization.

Paralegals, on the other hand, are non-lawyers doing legal work. Their jobs include analyzing data to assist clients, doing legal research, gathering information from witnesses and other sources, and preparing legal documents and forms. Paralegal studies prepare individuals to develop a good foundation for specialized areas of law, aside from the necessary skills needed for paralegal work.

The job outlook is good for paralegal work, since more and more companies are hiring paralegals to perform applicable tasks that once were done by lawyers.
