  • Nursing is a profession that focuses on the care of individuals, and emphasizes health promotion, maintenance and illness prevention. It is based on studies found in biological, physical and social sciences – all of which are important in nursing. Aside from scientific studies, nursing also touches on liberal arts, where understanding ethics and culture are also integral to the practice since nurses are required to adapt to the unique needs of patients, in order to fulfill their duties.

    Nursing is an altruistic job in nature, and one that brings a sense of fulfillment to those who seriously practice the profession.
